Chief Executive Officer
Dean has been actively involved in the childcare industry for over 11 years. Since 2005, Dean has overseen the identification, design and construction of greenfield sites into compliant, licensed and profitable centres. Concurrently, Dean has held senior executive positions at Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, most recently as General Manager Retail, leading a multi-site network of over 800 venues.
Dean is a Certified Practising Accountant and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He brings with him considerable expertise in business strategy formulation, sales and marketing, underperforming asset turnarounds, rapid business expansion and cultivation of high performing teams.
Quality Improvement Advisor
Michelle has been intimately involved in the childcare industry for more than 11 years. Since opening her first centre in 2005, Michelle has successfully developed, acquired, established and operated centres in highly competitive areas and taken all to full occupancy in short periods of time. Michelle has an extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and a proven ability to implement operational efficiencies and to achieve rapid occupancy growth.
Michelle’s commitment to delivering quality outcomes is evident in the ratings of her childcare centres, which have all received either ‘High Quality’ (under the old framework) or ‘Exceeding’ (under the current framework).
Chief Financial Officer
Glenn comes to Mayfield with as a Certified Practicing Accountant with extensive, hands-on experience in managing internal reporting, statutory compliance and internal processing and controls. Glenn’s most recent roles prior to joining Mayfield were as Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary with dual ASX and London AIM listed Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX code: CFU), which focussed on the research and commercial development of solid oxide fuel cells for generating electricity from natural gas for local and overseas residential markets and, most recently, as Financial Controller and Company Secretary with Rail Manufacturing CRC Ltd.
Development Centres Advisor
Sandra has almost 20 years’ experience in the childcare industry having jointly owned and operated the iconic Samantha’s Childcare Centre in Glen Iris along with childcare centres in Camberwell, Carrum Downs and Bentleigh. Sandra brings a wealth of experience in developing strategies for improving centre occupancies and the implementation of quality improvement programs, along with mentoring staff, parent interaction and communication and overall centre improvement programs.
Sandra will play a crucial role in advising and assisting Mayfield to improve the centres within the group that are qualified as ‘development’ or ‘trade up’ centres. That is, to improve centres that have significant potential for improvement and growth.
